When I moved here, I really hoped to find a group of moms willing to do a co-op preschool with me. I did one with Taylor when she was 3 and I really wanted to do one with Will as well. I wasn't sure with being new to the area that I would find people fast enough to start one this fall. Some moms in my ward heard about my interest and invited me to join them. I in turn invited two other moms who were also new to the ward making our group complete with 6 cute little 3 year olds. I feel blessed not only to have Will involved in a fun little preschool but it has also been a great resource for me to get to know other moms with common goals and interests (giving our kids a chance to learn and grow for one).
This week was my turn to be teacher. Our theme was Harvest and we made pumpkin cookies and played a harvest sorting game at my house on Tuesday. On Thursday we went to Gilcrease Orchard. I was truley amazed that this valley I live in could produce crops! Will had so much fun picking his own pumpkin as well as some apples. I hope to come here again with all of my family and pick even more.

Will is so cute. I can't belive how big he is now.
It is funny to see your kids picking a pumpkin with shorts and a t-shirt on! I can't get over how big Reagan looks!
I was looking at your weather today. It's going to be 69 degrees down there on saturday. What a relief for you. I think your going to love the winters down there. I miss your kids. I can't wait to see them in less then a week.
How fun! Thanks for the reminders for the field trips. This week I start my 5 week turn. Wednesday I am doing apples(A) and we will be painting with apples, eating apples, and talking about apples! Yea! I am trying to arrange a little trip to the orchard near our house on Friday - we'll see if that happens. (I also have Enrichment, my calling, duties on Wednesday.)
I am also impressed with the growing abilities in the extreme heat. We were informed that watermelon, grapes, pumpkins, and many other foods do VERY well in AZ! I was amazed, and even more amazed that anyone would take care of anything in the heat! Enjoy the weather - these are the good times!
I'm still jealous of your preschool opportunity with Will! What a cute little man he is.
That is so cute! What a fun way to get to know people in your ward! That crop looks quite impressive for HOT Las Vegas!
Will's smile in the picture with Reagan is ADORABLE!! How exciting to get to do a little preschool like that!
Those pictures are adorable!!!
I'm so glad you invited me to be part of this preschool. Both Porter and I are grateful for the new friends and fun experiences!
That is so cool that you found people to do a co-op preschool with. I did that with Lyndsey and loved it. By the way are you really not going to have b-day parties for your kids until they are eight??? You MUST be smart.
I think I said I wasn't going to have a birthday party on the year they turn 8 not until their 8.
(It's Dani) It's funny that you can find orchards to pick apples there in the desert, yet here in the East there isn't one for miles! Go figure!!! I'm still searching for one.
Congrats on getting the co-op moving, it sound like so much fun.
