We left Bakersfield after a restful night for a nice trip though the desert. As we were leaving, we realized how close we were to Disneyland, and almost made a quick detour until we thought about traffic in the morning through LA (not to mention the summer lines at Disneyland), and decided we had partied enough for one trip. We did get to drive past Edwards Air Force base.
After being on the road for a couple of weeks, I'd actually managed to grow a little facial hair. Now, Cydnee does not normally mind that I grow a little facial hair while on vacation, but I learned that was because my vacations have never been so long before. So even though I thought about keeping it, my beard did not even last until Sunday.
Although I did try and get her to let me keep a little bit of it.
Oh well, it was worth a shot.
We had a great trip, and were very grateful to have so much vacation time to take a two week journey through California.
