April Update

I wish I was better at taking time to update my blog so I didn't have to include so much in one post. But April has been entirely too eventful to just let it go by without a word.

At the end of March and a couple of weeks after Lyndsee's surgury, we realized her incision wasn't healing and was even wide open! So she had to be put under again for the doctor to fix it.

This time the doctor used a thread that wouldn't dissolve so quickly and in fact, would need to be taken out after a week. I'm happy and relieved to report a successfully healing incision. Its not all over though. She will need to go in again in September to remove the tube they placed in her tear-duct.

We took Reagan on a date night out to sushi. We had told her we would take her to a merry-go-round but when the one by our house was closed for the evening, we had to take her to Circus Circus where she got to ride 2 rides! We loved going out with our little princess.
Will had an event at school called "Meet the Author". He was able to sit with his writings that had all been "published" to receive praise and admiration for his work from parents who were in attendance to this proud occasion. I love what his teacher does for his class.
Mary and Von came to town with their family and we were able to take Taylor on her date night to see "Phantom of the Opera" with her girl cousins of the same age. I love an excuse to go see a show and Taylor has anticpated this opportunity for a while now. We also did some repelling with the kids at Red Stone where they all braved a 12-foot drop.

Lyndsee had to wear these arm bands for 2 weeks after her surgury so that she couldn't open her incision by rubbing her eye. The other reason I took this picture (besides showing off my two cute babies) is to show my pretty flowers on the vine during April. I wish the flowers would last longer as they have already faded away.
We celebrated Will's birthday with a cake that was homemade but not especially cute. He loved it though simply because it was round (instead of a 9x13) and was glowing with 6 candles. In this picture, he is contemplating his wish. We went swimming on the evening of Will's birthday as this is one of his favorite activities.
Reagan and Taylor both attended field trips with their schools.

Reagan went to Anderson Diary with her preschool.
Taylor went to the see a production of "The Wizard of Oz" at the Cashman Center. I felt fortunate to attend this play with her. On the bus ride home, she even lost a tooth and I couldn't help but exclaim it to the whole bus. At first I thought she would be embarrassed at my excitement for her but I sensed that she rather appreciated it.

Love my three little girlies in these dresses I bought them last fall. They each are growing up so fast and it won't be long before they won't let me coordinate their outfits anymore.
